The right length depends on the piece and whether the guest likes it close to the collarbone or lower for layering. Every chain has jump rings so it can be shortened.
45 cm / 17.7 in chain - jump rings at 42.5 cm / 16.7 in and 40 cm / 15.7 in. Sits just below the collarbone.
55 cm / 21.7 in chain - jump rings at 52.5 cm / 20.7 in and 50 cm / 19.7 in. Hits the upper chest.
